This relatively scarce clasp was awarded for various operations in Ogwashi-Oku country at the end of 1909 and in the first half of 1910, our casualties amounting to 34 killed or wounded.
According to Magor, Trenchard had an interesting conversation with a captured rebel leader, the latter concluding: “Give me one piss-gun (maxim) and I’ll beat you.”
