Memorandum, unsigned, date-lined “Mint Office 30th June 1830.” Details the procedures followed on the accession of George IV to the precedent set on the accession of George III relating to the presentation of designs for the new coinage, “Warrants under Royal Sign Manual for the Old Dies [of George III] to be used until the new dies shall be prepared,” and “authorizing the Master to Coin under the Indenture made with His late Majesty.” An order from the Lords of the Council appointed to consider the matter of His Majesty’s Coronation issued to the Master of the Royal Mint to lay before the Lords designs for gold and silver medals to be prepared and distributed according to custom; details of numbers distributed and expenses incurred to be submitted to the Treasury. 20 x 31.9cm (double).
