Victories of February 1814, a copper medal by B. Andrieu and N.G.A. Brenet, laureate bust of Napoleon right, rev. French imperial eagle on thunderbolt left, star above, two fish in field to left, winged Victory holding wreath to right. 41mm (Bramsen 1348; Julius 2837). Good extremely fine £60-£80

Commemorates a succession of victories in Marne (10-14) and Seine-et-Marne and Aube (15-26 February 1814). Fortunes were reversed by a coalition victory at Bar-sur-Aube on 27 February under the command of the Prince of Schwarzenberg
