Bronze Age, Cyprus, c. 2300 -2100 BC, a red polished ware jug, partly black with cut away spout with pierced ears either side and nose between. Single handle from shoulder to top of neck. The globular body has four inter-spaced lugs and a rounded base. The decoration is incised triple parallel lines partly zig-zag and filled with white lime, 15 x 9.7 cm. Very fine and intact, an exceptional example. £400-£600
