Medieval, 15th century bronze Laver pouring spouts (3), all in the form of a moulded dog’s head with upright fluted ears [3]. All fine or better with green patinas £80-£100
All found at Hillesden (Buckinghamshire).
The patron saint of dogs, Saint Roch was healed of the plague by a hunting dog licking his wounds, whoch is why dogs feature so prominently on spouts in Medieval times.
