Lieutenant John George Vivian Ewings, 1st Battalion King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, was killed in action on 3 October 1918, aged 26 years. He was buried in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gouy, Aisne, France. He was the son of Mr and Mrs G. T. Ewings of 21 Russell Road, Holloway, London and husband of Enid Thwaites Ewings of “Waverley”, Cliff Road, Hornsea, East Yorkshire.
