William Scott was born in and enlisted at Glasgow. Serving with “A” Company 2nd Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers, he died on 30 July 1916, aged 22 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was the son of James Scott of 17 Glenfield Street, Dennistoun, Glasgow.

Peter Anderson was born in Forfar and enlisted at Glasgow. Serving in the 9th (Glasgow Highland) Battalion Highland Light Infantry, he was killed in action on 9 July 1915. He was buried in the Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy, Pas de Calais, France.
