Prince of Wales’ Visit to India 1875-76, gold, by Phillips Brothers, London, 55.5mm x 83mm, 96.3gms, the edge impressed ‘No. 25’, and additionally inscribed to ‘H.H. Maharana Nihal Sing of Dholepore’, good very fine and extremely rare £3000-4000

A total of 48 gold medals were presented by the Prince of Wales during his visit to India, Ceylon and Nepaul in 1875-76. This gold medal was presented to the Maharana of Dholepore during the Prince’s visit to Agra.
