Arthur Ernest Sanger lived at New Cross and enlisted at Kennington, London. Serving in the 24th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 26 May 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.

Frederick Sanger lived at New Cross and enlisted at Kennington, London. Serving in the 24th Battalion London Regiment, he died of wounds at Home on 8 Augus 1915, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Deptford (Brockley) Cemetery. He was the son of John James and Mary Elizabeth heath Sanger. Sold with modern photographs of the war memorial at the cemetery.
