Walter Reader Coppin was born and lived in Brixton, Surrey and enlisted at Lambeth. Serving in the 2nd Battalion East Kent Regiment, he was killed in action on 28 May 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Henry Samuel Lyus lived in Leyton and enlisted at Hackney. Serving as Private 684381 with the 2nd/22nd Battalion London Regiment, he died of wounds on 11 November 1917 when serving with the Egypt Expeditionary Force. He was buried in the Beersheba War Cemetery. He had previously served as Private 4532 with the 3rd/10th Battalion London Regiment.
