Thomas Holder was born in St. Pancras, London. A labourer by occupation, he attested for service in the Royal Artillery on 17 July 1893, aged 20 years 4 months. Posted to “A” Battery R.H.A., he served in India, October 1894-January 1900 and South Africa, January-November 1900. He held the rank of Bombardier from October 1898 until August 1901 when he was reduced to the ranks. Holder was transferred to the Army Reserve in June 1902 and discharged on 16 July 1905. Sold with copied service papers and clasp extract which confirm the above clasps.
