Corporation of Glasgow Bravery Medal, 1st type, silver (Frank Cairns) hallmarked, complete with ‘Gallantry’ brooch bar, extremely fine £140-180
Frank Cairns of 35 Fernie Street, Maryhill, who rescued a girl from drowning in the Forth and Clyde Canal, at a point 100 yards west of No. 25 Lock, on 28th March last, the woman having attempted to commit suicide. Cairns was awarded the Glasgow Bravery Medal on 16 April 1929.
