Albert John Wood served for many years in the Coastguard Service at Eastbourne. He joined the Life Saving Apparatus Company in 1921; was awarded the Long Service Medal in 1943, and in 1963 was awarded a clasp to the medal (not in lot). At about the same time he retired from the service. Sold with a magazine extract bearing his photograph.
