Fred Mott was born in Barton Stacey, Hampshire, lived in Stockbridge, and enlisted at Andover. Serving with the 10th Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he was killed in action in Gallipoli on 10 August 1915, aged 22 years. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. He was the son of John and Emma Mott of 17 Longstock, Stockbridge, Hampshire.
