Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., Anchor obverse (I. Burnett, Private, Royal Marines, H.M.S. Revenge, 22 Years) pierced with ring and silver straight bar suspension, die cracks to reverse, slight edge bruise, nearly very fine £600-700

John Burnett was born at Plumstead, Kent, and joined the Royal Marines on 3 February 1820, aged 18 years. He was discharged due to length of service on 2 March 1842. The medal to Private John Burnett, H.M.S. Revenge (Woolwich Division) was approved on 16 February 1842.
