Gerald Vere Webster was born on 6 December 1879, the son of R. G. W. Webster, M.P. Educated at Eton. Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the 18th Hussars from the Militia on 28 October 1899. Promoted to Lieutenant on 3 October 1900. Sold with copied roll extract showing entitlement to the above medals and clasps except ‘Cape Colony’.
