Roderick John Macrae was appointed Assistant Paymaster (Acting) on 5 February 1915, and served on H.M.S. Caesar from 11 March 1915, until the end of the War. He was promoted to Paymaster Lieutenant on 5 February 1919, still serving aboard Caesar.
