William Tyler was born in Brayfield, Northamptonshire and enlisted at Northampton. Serving with the 7th Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 17 August 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
