George Brumpton was born in Limber, Lincolnshire and enlisted at Lincoln. He served initially as 101212 Private in the Notts. & Derby. Regiment. Serving in the 6th Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 7 August 1918, aged 18 years. He was buried in the Beacon Cemetery, Sailly-Laurette. He was the son of George and Fanny Brumpton of Searsby, Grasby, Lincolnshire.
