Four: Flying Officer A. M. L. Kennaugh, No. 56 (Punjab) Squadron, Royal Air Force

1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star,
clasp, France and Germany; Defence and War Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaf; together with original R.A.F. Service and Release Book; R.A.F. Flying Clothing Card; and a photostat copy of his Pilot’s Flying Log Book, covering the period May 1944 to December 1946, nearly extremely fine (4) £180-220

M.I.D. has not been confirmed.

Flying Officer A. M. L. Kennaugh flying mostly in Tempest’s is credited with one shared (probable) destruction of an HE219 on 26 November 1944; one shared confirmed destroyed JU352 on 30 April 1945; and one shared confirmed destroyed HE111 on 1 May 1945. Combat reports confirm all three of these interceptions.

However his log book suggests a much more successful tally, comprising, one JU352 destroyed (shared); one FW190 destroyed; one HE111 destroyed (shared); one HE219 probably destroyed (shared); 16 VI rockets destroyed, 21 trains destroyed, 125 trains damaged, two tugs sunk, 1 river boat sunk, 1 power station damaged, 128 motor transports destroyed; and 118 motor transports damaged.
