Royal Humane Society, large bronze medal (successful), (Elizth. H. Chubb, 16th July 1861) fitted with correct ring for suspension, nearly extremely fine £80-100

Royal Humane Society Case No. 16,798: ‘Miss E. H. Chubb and Miss Mary Cubbon, both from the Isle of Man, saved Eleanor Cowley, Christian Cowley, and Ann Newley, who went beyond their depth whilst bathing in Onchan Harbour, Isle of Man. Miss Chubb rushed in and rescued C. Cowley and Miss Cubbon rescued the other two bodies.’ Bronze Medal to each.
