Berthold Silberman was a Jew born in Germany on 27 April 1915. As a naturalised British subject living in Johannesburg, he attested for full time service in the S.A.M.C. on 10 June 1940. With the S.A.M.C. East Africa, Abyssinia, Middle East and Italy. Served at the Imperial Hospital Howick, October 1942-April 1944. Demobilised in August 1945. With copied service papers.
