Sher Bahadur joined the Indian Army on 9 May 1904. Serving with the 25th Punjabis, he was advanced to Jemadar in February 1917 and Subadar in August 1918. Appointed Subadar-Major in the 4/16th Punjab Regiment in January 1926. Listed as an Hon. Lieutenant in August 1930, he retired on 31 December 1930. During the Great War he served in Mesopotamia, was wounded and was awarded the I.D.S.M. With copied research.
