Lionel Marsh was born in Manchester, England, on 4 June 1895. A Farmer by occupation, he enlisted into 79th Battalion at Boissevain in November 1915, but was serving with the 42nd Battalion (Royal Highlanders of Canada) when he died of wounds on 2 October 1916. Buried in the Contay British Cemetery, he was the son of William and Charlotte Marsh, of Manchester; sold with copied service papers.
