Robert Middlemore was born in Liverpool, England, on 13 June 1887. A Cabinet Maker by occupation, and a member of the 103rd Regiment of Militia, he enlisted in the 82nd Battalion at Calgary in September 1915. Subsequently transferred to the 50th Battalion, he was gassed on 11 November 1916 and killed in action on 19 November 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial; spld with copied service papers.
