James Keyte was born in the London Parish of Bermondsey and attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps at Aldershot on 2 July 1890. He served on the West coast of Africa, December 1895 to February 1896, and in South Africa, November 1899 to August 1902. He was discharged at Winchester on 30 March 1907. Sold with copied discharge papers which confirm Ashanti Star and Q.S.A. clasps.
