M.M. London Gazette 27 June 1918 (Whitstable).
Cyburt T. Ashby was born in Whitstable, Kent c.1889. During the Great War he served in the 3rd Dragoon Guards and Corps of Dragoons. M.M. believed to be for the attack at Beaumont, 23 March 1918. War Diary reads - ‘Enemy attacked village from the Nock and succeeded in getting a footing in the village’.
