George F. Woollaston enlisted into the 17th Middlesex V.R.C. on 18 January 1878, he was still serving with this unit when it was converted to the 19th London Regiment, remaining with this regiment until his discharge on 19 September 1916, having served a total of 38 years and 6 months.
