Driver William Henry Morgan was reported missing in action at Klerksdorp on 25 February 1902, and declared dead, killed in action, on 23 March 1902. Sold with a copy of the battery commander’s report of this action, in which Driver Morgan was the only man killed. From the column of some 500 men, comprising men from Paget’s Horse, the Northumberland Fusiliers, the left section of 4 Battery and a Pom-Pom, the Boer’s took over 200 prisoners.
