Jack Mervyn Leon Eugene James Warbrick Bishton was born at Dudley, Worcestershire, and served in 7 Field Battery in both frontier campaigns. He served with the B.E.F. in France with 18 Field Regiment, then as Sergeant in North Africa with 121 Field Regiment, but reverted to Gunner at his own request, and served in Sicily and Italy with 24 Field Regiment. He was wounded on 31 October 1942, during the battle of El Alamein. Sold with extracts from service records.
