2nd Lieutenant Arthur Herbert Thompson, “D’ Company, 17th Battalion London Regiment was killed in action, France, on 1 October 1916, aged 23 years. He was buried in the Warlencourt British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of Lizzie A. Thompson, of ‘Dunnottar’, Buckingham Road, Woodford, Essex, and the late William T. Thompson.
