Private Donald Cowan, 2nd Battalion H.A.C. was killed in action by shell fire at Bullecourt, 26 July 1917, aged 37 years. He was buried in the Mory Abbey Military Cemetery, Mory, Pas de Calais. Private Cowan was the son of Charles and Catherine Cowan, of Perthshire, and husband of Jessie A. Cowan, of 2 Allison Road, Hornsey, London.
