John Stewart was born in the Parish of Blawin, Dingwall, County Ross, and enlisted into the 42nd Foot at Dingwall on 11 November 1840, aged 18 years 6 months. He died of cholera in the Crimea on 24 August 1855. Sold with copied muster rolls.
