John Peter Hurry was born in Sussex, England on 18 September 1914. Living at Frankston, Victoria, he enlisted at Royal Park, Victoria on 18 June 1940. As a Lance-Bombardier in the 2/11th Field Regiment he was discharged on 11 January 1946.

Francis Frederick Percival De Wall was born in Sydney, N.S.W. on 2 April 1923. Living in Balmain, N.S.W., he enlisted at Ingleburn, N.S.W. on 7 August 1942. As a Sergeant in the 12th Australian Small Ship Company AATNC, he was discharged on 8 October 1946.
