David B. Soave attested for the Royal Air Force on 29 August 1990. Serving in the R.A.F. Regiment, he served with 20 Squadron R.A.F. Regt. at R.A.F. Honington, April 1991-July 1992; S.W.S. Squadron R.A.F. Regt. at R.A.F. Honington, July 1992-January 1995; 16 Squadron R.A.F. Regt. at R.A.F. Honington, January 1995-March 1999, and 3 RAFTACSTOHQ at R.A.F. Marham, March 1999-July 2006. Notes made by the recipient state: ‘During my service I deployed on exercise to various locations, including Belize, Germany, France, Spain, Oman and Cyprus. I deployed to the Falkland Islands three times whilst with 16 Sqn and also deployed to Kuwait. I was part of one of the first units over the border into Iraq during the second Iraq war.’
