Ghuznee 1839, a most unusual privately-made gold hollow-cast medal, obverse inscribed in Gothic script ‘Ghuzni 23rd July 1839’ in three lines within a laurel wreath, the reverse inscribed ‘Affghanistan’, 36.8 mm, fitted with double ring swivel-bar suspension and gold ribbon buckle, good very fine and rare, possibly unique £500-600
