Boer War Officer’s Arts and Crafts Cigarette Casket, constructed of unmarked silver and featuring strap like hinges and a raised roundel containing a QSA medal, a worn section above the roundel is just discernible ‘Defence of Ladysmith’, the front elevation is engraved ‘William Frederick Adams Imperial Light Horse’, 13 x 8.5 x 3.1 cms, good condition £200-300

Note: Lieutenant William Frederick Adams, Imperial Light Horse was killed in action at Wagon Hill, Near Ladysmith, on Jan. 6th l900.
