George Cleaveland is confirmed on the roll as a Mate aboard the Princess Charlotte during the Syrian operations. He was born on 9 September 1818 and entered the Navy on 25 June 1832. Promoted to Lieutenant on 7 February 1842, he does not appear to have seen any further active service and died at Bromley, Kent, on 8 January 1855.
