France, Sarah Bernhardt, 1876, a large uniface cast bronze model for a medal by H. Ziwnt, bust left, back engraved ‘modèle’, 140mm (BDM VI, 731). High relief, bold, expressive style, fine to very fine, extremely rare; among the earliest of the medallic images of Bernhardt (£150-250)
