Magnia Urbica, Antoninianus, Rome, diademed and draped bust right, rev. Venus standing left, holding helmet and sceptre, venvs genetrix, 3.43g (RIC 337; C 11). Some corrosion both sides, otherwise very fine, very rare (£120-140)

Magnia Urbica, wife of Carinus. Ancient sources claim Carinus had nine wives in total. Magnia Urbica died at about the same time as her husband, and her name, as well as that of Carinus, was officially condemned
