17th Century, Beaconsfield, John Foscet, Halfpence, 1669 (2, different rev. dies), paschal lamb, 1.11g/9h (Berry & Morley 28; SCBI Norweb 290, same dies; BW. 20); 1.83g/6h (Berry & Morley –; BW. 20) [2]. First good very fine and nicely patinated but some light surface verdigris on reverse, second about very fine (£70-100)

The reverse dies of Foscet’s tokens are very similar and use the same punches. The principal determining factor is the position of the 1 in the date, which is horizontal on the first issue and slopes upwards on the second
