Cubitts’ Engineering Co Ltd, automobile manufacturers, Aylesbury; their share capital of £249,728 6
s. was subscribed in 225,000 7.5% 10s. preference shares and 2,744,566 1s. ordinary shares. Between 1920 and 1925 the company built what motoring historians regard as unremarkable saloon-bodied vehicles, powered by large 4-cylinder 2.8 litre engines rated at 16hp and designed in-house. After 1925 car production ceased and the workforce turned to producing engines for AC Cars under licence
