DANGERS AVERTED 1589, Elizabeth I, silver medal, cast and chased with integral loop for suspension, a piece of great quality, 55mm x 46mm, toned, nearly extremely fine

This medal is listed in Medallic Illustrations, published 1885, No. 133, and a similar example is in the British Museum. It is believed that these pieces were executed during the 18th century but they are nonetheless very rare.
