KING'S POLICE MEDAL, G.V.R. (Const., Metropolitan Police) in case of issue, toned, nearly extremely fine
K.P.M. , London Gazette, 3rd January, 1911. The following details were published in 'The Police Review and Parade Gossip', 6th January 1911: ‘Conspicuous gallantry in attempting to save life. A sewerman was overcome by noxious gasses and fell into some water in the sewer. The Constable went down and dragged him out of the water, and was himself overcome while attempting to secure him with a rope.’
Constable Arthur Cambers, Warrant Number 861150, served in 'T' Division, Metropolitan Police.
