THE MOST HONOURABLE ORDER OF THE BATH, Stall Plate of a Companion, gilded brass with a painted badge of the Order, inscribed 'Hans Baron Bussche, Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and Major of the 1st Battalion of Light Infantry, of the King's German Legion, Companion of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, Nominated 4th June 1815,' the reverse with maker's stamp, 190mm x 112mm, very fine

Hans Baron Bussche, C.B., K.C.H., later Lieutenant General in the Hanovarian Army, received the Gold Medal for Busaco, Waterloo Medal, and Military General Service Medal for Talavera, Albuhera, Salamanca, Vittoria, St. Sebastian, Nivelle and Nive. He was severely wounded during the battle of Waterloo, at the defence of La Haye Sainte, resulting in the amputation of his right arm.
