This lot was sold as part of a special collection, Medals to the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment from the Collection of Mr Donald Hall.

First commissioned 21 September 1809; promoted Lieutenant 2 August 1810, and placed on half pay 21 October 1817. Twenty officers of the 76th Foot received the medal, seven of them with the above combination of clasps.
