R.S.P.C.A. medal and bar, 1941 - in reconition of the care and humanity in rescuing animals from areas made dangerous by bombing.

Bar, 1952 - Rescue of a heifer from floods at Amberley, Sussex.

Charles H. Brown was born in 1889 and employed by the Society from 1920 until he retired in December 1955.
