BARONET'S BADGE, United Kingdom issue, 18 carat gold and enamels, the reverse inscribed (Jardine of Nottingham 1919) hallmarked London 1929, in its original case of issue, extremely fine

Badges for Baronet's of England, Ireland, Great Britain and the United Kingdom were not authorized until 1929, the earlier issues being in gold and subsequently in silver-gilt.

Sir Ernest Jardine, 1st Baronet of Nottingham, J.P. (High Sheriff 1928), M.P. for East Somerset 1908-10, Chairman of John Jardine Ltd., of Bar-Lock Co., Trent Navigation Co., and Nottingham Colwick Estates Ltd., Chevalier Legion of Honour. He was created a Baronet on 2 May 1919.
