b. British War and Victory Medals (Lieut.); Colonial Auxiliary Forces L.S., G.V.R. (Rfn. Frederick G.C. Busby, Ceylon Plr. R.C.), scratch to obverse of C.G.M., otherwise good very fine or better (9)

C.G.M., London Gazette, 9 July,1943. 'Warrant Officer Busby, now on his second tour of operational duty, has taken part in a large number of operational sorties against targets in Germany, Italy and enemy-occupied territory. He has secured some excellent photographs. By his outstanding skill and courage this Warrant Officer has set a splendid example to the other members of his squadron.'

Pilot Officer D.C.C. Busby was reported missing as a result of air operations over Cologne on 16 June 1943. The C.G.M. was presented to his father, Mr. F.G.C. Busby, at an investiture in Ceylon on 19 November 1946.
