J. Clifford was a member of 'D' Squadron, Captain F.H. Eadon Commanding. He was not entitled to the Khartoum having been sick at Royan Island. The Khedive's medal without clasp is relatively scarce to the regiment, only 39 having been issued. Sold with relevant copies from the medal rolls.
